Frequently Asked Questions
What’s the deposit amount?
$100. The date of your event remains open on my calendar until the deposit is paid.
Will you meet with us about the event?
Absolutely, once the deposit is paid I would be more than happy to sit down (weither in person or over the phone) to discuss your event.
My event is not in the Dallas-Fort Worth area; do you travel?
Sure! However, there is a travel fee of $100 per hour your event is away from Grand Prairie, Texas.
When is the remainder due?
The day of the event.
What KIND of DJ are you?
I am a laid-back DJ, not in your face, overly hype. My specialty is allowing the music to do most of the work. Getting people up and moving by recognizing what kind of music they are reacting to. I may make some comments here and there that otherwise direct the night. But the focus is on the music.
Do you do all the announcing at the event?
Usually. However, if you have someone in mind you want to MC that is not a problem. This is your event and I will do whatever you want.
Can we give you a DO NOT PLAY list?
Yes. I am a completly clean DJ so you won't have to worrry about raunchy songs, but I have had some people who did not like line-dance songs. While I understand why, these songs are undisputed crowd pleasers and will most likely get a lot of people on their feet. You may want to allow line dances at your event if dancing is important to you.
Do you DJ alone?
DJing is a one person operation. I may sometimes have an assistant, but they are only there to help me and usually only to load and unload.
Do you play the music for the ceremony or just reception?
I can play the music for the ceremony and even offer a hand mic for the officiant. I do not have the capability to mic instraments at this time.
Do you take song requests from guests?
Generally, yes, but if your guests are intoxicated and their song request is inappropriate, I will politly decline their request. And depending on the time left in the event I may have to turn down other requests to keep us on schedule. If you hire me to DJ your event, you agree that I can deny requests that are inappropriate. For example; A guest comes up to me and requests classical music while everyone is dancing to pop music. Or a guest asks for a hardcore rap song during dinner. Requests like that will be denied.
